Interested in building a pc to become the center of my entertainment center...? - entertainment center blue prints

I would like to build a PC that can be connected to an HDTV. I want to use the best technology for best quality.

I also want to be able to use my PC as my DVD and Blue Ray disc. So basically I want my DVD or Blu Ray on my LCD HD TV with my PC as the source.

And I want a good surround sound system, so that, play what's on my PC, and surround sound for television.

Is this possible? If so, how the quality of the films, if I play my PC?
